ICE has developed a recipe for zero sodium and alkaline pH8+ water for its partner Mai Dubai.
Mai Dubai is one of the leading bottled water provider in Dubai and the region. With its famous red logo, the bottled water brand is exported to several countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the GCC.

ICE has developed this special recipe according to Mai Dubai’s unique specifications. For the first time, it has been possible to combine < 1mg of sodium/l with pH8+.
Available in 330 ml, 500 ml, and 1.5l, the product aims to meet the increasing demand in the functional water segment(1)

To compare, the normal pH value in Europe for spring or mineral water is between 6.5 and 7.2.

“Alkaline” used in alkaline water refers to its pH level. The pH level is a number that measures substance acidity or alkalinity on a scale from 0 to 14. A pH value of 1 is very acidic and a pH value of 13 is considered ‘very alkaline.’ Alkaline water has a higher pH level than ordinary potable water, which has a neutral pH value of 7. Alkaline water has a pH value ranging from 8 to 8.5.
Alkaline water is appreciated for its properties, considered by its consumers as detoxifying, alkalizing and hydrating.
Products with low or zero sodium lowers blood pressure, leads to better hydration, and prevents water retention. In terms of taste, a study indicates that still water (spring or mineral water) has low salt content, while carbonated water has high salt content (up to a certain limit) to improve its sensory qualities.
