In December 2024, we took a concrete action by planting an orchard in partnership with Le Potager du Château de Menthon. About ten employees volunteered to participate in this environmental and local project, symbolizing our commitment to this CSR approach.
A Collective Initiative at the Heart of CSR
A co-design effort, led beforehand with the expertise of Marc Buttin, Agro-ecologist and Co-entrepreneur of Le Potager du Château de Menthon, allowed us to better understand the issues related to biodiversity and ecological transition. The spaces around our building were carefully studied for the implementation of this new configuration.
Guided by Marc, our employees first planted two high-stem apple trees in front of our building, adding aesthetics and shade. They then created an orchard at the back, combining fruit trees and companion plants.
A CSR Commitment Rooted in the Local
The project of planting an Orchard goes beyond mere planting and reflects a desire to act concretely for the environment by relying on several local elements:
- Proximity Partnership: Le Potager du Château de Menthon brings its expertise to this initiative.
- Regional Origin: The plants come from our region, and the chosen fruits are reminiscent of those once cultivated around Rumilly.
- Concrete Action: Enriching the soil, promoting biodiversity, creating a microclimate, and eventually producing our own fruits are all objectives that strengthen our circular economy approach and respect for the environment.
