ICE is recruiting an electrical design technician (M/F)

As an electrical design technician specialized in industrial electricity (M/F), you will independently carry out low-voltage electrical detail and execution studies for activities with our industrial customers.

You will report to the Projects and Commissioning Manager, and work closely with the project managers. Your main tasks will be to:

Electrical studies for projects:

• Design electrical diagrams in CAD, based on customer specifications or estimates
• Produce layout drawings for electrical cabinets, connections and cable trays
• Produce calculation notes (for protection, cables, selectivity)
• Draw up power balances
• Recommend choice of components,
• Create bills of materials for electrical and automation equipment (configuration of complete PLCs, frequency inverters, etc.).
• Consult suppliers after drawing up specifications.
• Carry out on-site surveys and pre-study visits.
• Participate in on-site commissioning and technical assistance.

Technical support:

• Act as the technical reference for our teams during the various phases of the project (understanding and mastering all the electrical and automation equipment used).
• Collaborate on an ongoing basis with the automation engineer and other internal departments.
• Carry out occasional modifications to PLC programs..

Development :

• Keep informed of technological developments and electrical standards
• Suggest technological improvements where necessary (electrical/automation), or methodological improvements in line with customer requirements and in agreement with in-house teams..

Electrical design technician profile:

You have good interpersonal skills, are open-minded and creative. You are available and able to adapt to unforeseen circumstances. Recognized for your professionalism, you are also able to work in a team, remotely, and to integrate different social, economic and multicultural environments. In addition to your technical skills, you are responsive, rigorous, organized and analytical..

Education:

Trained to Bac+2 to Bac+3 in electrical engineering (electrical engineering, automation), you have 2 to 5 years’ proven experience in an industrial electrical design office.

You are familiar with CAD and dimensioning tools such as See Electrical and Autocad, and have a sound knowledge of low voltage. You must have already worked in industry.

Type of contract: open-ended contract.

Work location: Chavanod (74). Occasional international travel may be required.

Remuneration: to be negotiated according to your profile and experience + profit-sharing + vacation bonus + luncheon vouchers.
